It is unfortunately not really possible to provide any help if there is no detail on why it is stopping. :(

If there is any details, you need to include it here - even if it does not make any sense to you.

Unfortunately I can't say what is wrong here. It looks like the problem is related to the .NET Framework installation, not my code - but even that I do not know for sure. :(

You can try deleting C:\ProgramData\EditVoicepackX if the folder exist (even if you can't see C:\ProgramData it will exist, just type it's name in the address bar of the explorer). The EditVoicepackX folder will only exist if you have previously had EditVoicepack running.

Notice deleting this folder will make you loose any custom changes you have made in EditVoicepack, so you might want to make a backup before deleting it.

I also get this. :( I did what you suggested (deleted the folder) and it attempts to load with the same error.

I do not know why this happens. If it was related to the data files of EditVoicepack I would not expect to see this error. My main suspicion is on a problem with the .NET installation on the computer - similar errors in other programs appears to have been related to this. I do not have Windows 7 anywhere, so I can't check if it is possible to remove the .NET Framework v3.5 (or whatever version is installed) and reinstall it - it if is possible that might fix the problem.

Thanks for responding, Lars....Guess I'll wait til you have Win 7 available to experiment with....I don't dare play around with .net framework without being told what to do

Well, I went to Microsoft Support and read a little....found out I have .net framework 4.5.1 installed with Win7 SP1 using a verification tool they have....then downloaded and ran the Microsoft net framework repair tool....all of my system appears to be in good shape....then tried EditVoicepack and still no go

Please try to enable .NET Framework 3.5. It is a available in "Turn Windows features on or off".

If it is already there, please try removing it, then reboot, add it again, reboot once more.

Finally got it to work! I went to Control Panel; Programs and Features; Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 and unchecked 2 Windows Communication Foundation boxes only leaving the main Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5.1 box checked. EditVoicepack has been working great ever since!! :D Hope this helps everyone else. Win7 by the way.
