This is a frequently updated list of the best and most used freeware models for AI traffic right now. These are the models which looks the best and will affect your frame rate the least.

All download links refer to Avsim.com, one of the biggest FS related communities online. You will need to register(free) to be able to download.

[edit] How do I find repaints and textures for the different airlines

When you search the net for repaints for these AI models, it's a good idea to note for which model your looking. Each freeware model has the name of the developer group attached to it, mostly a three letter abbrevation like, FSP (FS Painter), TFS (The Fruit Stand) etc. Each AI model has it's own folder just like normal aircrafts. Drop your new texture in the folder and add it in the aircraft.cfg file.

If you have trouble finding an older model online, then try to download an airline package from World Of AI in which you now the model is in.
